Advised by his mother to always follow his heart, Chef grew a love for R&B and Hip Hop music in grade school. When medical school didn’t pan out at Indiana University he met Retro on the campus and together they pursued a music interest.

Financially struggling as a new musical artist, Chef found himself employed in the hospitality field. Following his heart once again he put the music on hold and attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.

Following graduation and a successful journey in cooking, the demanding schedule of kitchen life took a brutal physical toll on his body. Maintaining both his first passion for music and a love for cuisine he has now decided again to pursue music full time.

Trading in his knives for a microphone and pairing once again with Retro, he joined with Indianapolis based Upper Echelon record company and Certified Track Killers. Chef released his first EP titled Chef’s Debut in early 2021. This blend of classic sounding Hip Hop brought Chef back into the foray of music artistry, sharpening his skills even more.

Taking notes from Heavy D, and Notorious BIG-Chef now seasons new tracks with his sauce for a recipe that is true to his soul and following his heart.

With his own style of lyrical penmanship, using humor with truth and yet able to take on more serious topics- Chef projects a versatile set of strengths that now garner him success in the Hip Hop kitchen.
